Kyle was a guy that had to work hard for everything he had. Brent was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and was living happily off of his family's wealth.
Because of this Kyle did not like Brent. He felt he was a lazy a**hole, and every time they were together they would always throw insults around.

Kyle thought his life was finally going in the right direction, but unfortunately he was once again knocked down. Brent however saw this as an opportunity to get close to the guy that he has had a secret crush on since meeting him.

When Kyle let slip a list of needs one night after a frustrating day he never expected Brent to fulfill them, and fill them he did. They really heated up the pages when they got things going!!!

This is a very short book, unfortunately, I felt it was a little too short. And for that reason I give this book 3-3.5 stars.

Jumping In is the perfect title for this book.
These two jumped in with both feet and no lifejacket!! After cutting ties with his lover, Clint decided to take a little time off from everything. When he returned his whole life had been turned upside down.
A quick stop at the station to deliver a treat to his right hand woman, Clint was filled in that his ex-lover’s engagement party was that night. The hot deputy Mayor, Hawk, stopped in on Clints way out and somewhat addled Clint, but gave him a little something to think about while he tried to de-stress that night.

When he arrived home he found that his dogs decided to welcome him home with a destroyed house, one that he was being evicted from in two weeks, he also received an invitation to his ex-lovers engagement party, an engagement to a woman no less.

After the hell he walked in on and a few other things falling apart at home, he decides to go to the party and gets a little wasted. Hawk, being the nice guy he is, decided that he would drive Clint home in his inebriated state. However, it wasn't Clint’s house they went to. Not only did Hawk want into Clint’s pants, he also wanted into his heart. Hawk had fallen hard for Clint the first day he saw him and was hell bent to get Clint to fall just as hard for him.

This is a super short story, and like Rough Edges, it was a little too short for me. I would have liked to have seen more of a story for these two.
I give this 3.5 stars.

Someone's killing werewolves.

Lukas Vance finds a list of towns, and in each one he discovers a murdered 19-year-old who smells almost like pack even though he knows they can't be related to him. He reaches the next town on the list before the killer, determined to get the intended victim out of this situation alive. When he catches the familiar pack scent and sees the guy it belongs to, Lukas wants to do so much more than protect him.

Chris Keenan doesn't know why gorgeous, broody Lukas thinks he's in danger. Lukas says he wants to keep him safe, and when Chris freaks out Lukas is the only one able to calm him down. Chris has been feeling off for a while, and whatever's causing that seems to be related to the list of towns and the murderer who's made him a target. Instead of going to the police, Chris puts his trust in Lukas. But even with Lukas protecting him, figuring out what's wrong with him may be the last thing Chris ever does.

Shift is a 98,000-word novel for people who want some gay shifter romance inside their urban fantasy, ensemble cast adventure.

Excerpt

Chris padded in, his hair damp and mussed. He looked at the empty bed, then at Lukas, like he didn’t know where to sleep.

“Come here,” Lukas whispered. He got up and pulled the blanket down, then crawled back in. When Chris slid in next to him, Lukas pulled him close. Chris’ wet hair pressed under his chin and against his throat.

They fit perfectly together. Lukas didn’t mind the idea of not being able to sleep, since he could enjoy being this close to Chris.

“I can smell more things now,” Chris said in a small voice. “Emotion.”

“Yeah? Like what.”

“When I woke in the car, Albert’s fear.”

“Even over that cologne? He didn’t bring any of that with him, did he? I’m going to pitch it when he’s not looking.”

Chris laughed, and the knot in Lukas’ chest loosened.

“My dad has begged him to lighten up on it, maybe spritz it into the air and just run through it.”

Lukas carded his fingers through Chris’ wet hair, inhaling the clean, fresh scent. “So, you smelled Albert’s fear, and what else?”

“Just that so far.” Chris turned his face so his nose pressed against Lukas’ chest.

“You’ve always smelled good,” Chris whispered. “But now there’s something else.”

Chris inhaled deeply. He pressed closer, and a tell-tale shudder went through his body.

If Chris had been a bitten wolf, it would be good that he could smell more things now. But Lukas didn’t know what he was or how he came to be this way, and the result of whatever was going on seemed like it could kill him. He cleared his throat. “What things?”

Chris kept breathing him in, nosing the side of his neck as he slid up. “You smell different now. Better.”

“Shower’ll do that every time.”

Chris chuckled against his skin. “No. More like the woods after a rainstorm. And something musky, something rich . . .”

Chris nuzzled Lukas’ neck, and this time it was Lukas’ turn to shudder. As Chris’ body slid along Lukas’, Chris’ hand touched his stomach, then slid beneath Lukas’ T-shirt, skin on skin, moving up to his chest.

Chris was scenting him, and he didn’t even know it.

“Chris.”

Chris looked up, Lukas’ fingers still in his hair, his lips parted, his eyes dark with arousal, cheeks flushed. Chris licked his lips. “It’s desire, isn’t it?” Chris asked. “I can smell how much you want me.”

Lukas nodded. He’d never wanted anyone more.

This book is bloody brilliant! Sarina didn't disappoint me..again!

Out two MC's are from a cult Compound in Wyoming. The beginning of the book shows us a little of what life was like for them growing up there. I will say I am thankful that that's not completely what the book is about though. Our guy Josh gets blamed for a theft and gets booted from said Compound.
Only, he didn't know that Caleb had a plan. Caleb always knew it would happen, just not the when.

So that night, Caleb joins Josh, and they journey across the US with a very interesting character they meet at a truck stop. Washington, the driver,  is probably one of my favorite characters. granted after the beginning, his role is quite small. There's just something about him though. He's so calm and just, chill. He's the guy you'd want as your grandfather. The letters between Washington and Josh are just so adorable. Josh is just so adorable.

Anyway, Josh and Caleb run away to their dear friend 's sister's place in Massachusetts. Let's just say the name of her farm is pretty clever. Maggie is so delighted to FINALLY get some more people out of the Compound. But, the guys don't want to take advantage too much, so they quickly make themselves useful to Maggie and her growing family.

This really was just a great story of coming out and trusting each other, and making yourself a family whether it's blood or not. Caleb and Josh are just so damn special. Even when Caleb is being a sacrificial lamb and breaking Josh's heart. Speaking  of... way to make us cry at THE END of a book!!! I mean, seriously?? lol I joke, it was totally worth it!! Especially seeing Josh rally for the cause!

I absolutely cannot wait for the second book. This one gave me life and I'm really hoping the next one will as well.

5 wonderful stars!

COVER REVEAL ~ Touches by Alina Popescu

Cover Reveal – Touches by Alina Popescu

Touches is a collection of four contemporary gay romance short stories following the same cast of characters. They can be read in any order, but to better immerse yourself in the characters' lives, reading them in order is advised.

Synopsis
Sometimes a single touch is enough to change everything. Physical or emotional, a touch can tilt the world on its axis and shift your entire life. It can lead to hell, or it can lead to paradise, but things will never be the same…

A TOUCH GLAMOUR
Tudor has big plans for New York City.
Ditch his homophobic colleague. See a musical. Definitely check out the go-go boys.
Meeting one Phantom on Grindr wasn't in the script.
Tudor gets caught up in a whirlwind when his favorite musical character steps off the stage and into his life.

A TOUCH OF PARADISE
Hauled to work in Hawaii, Tudor has little time to enjoy the island paradise.
His obnoxious friend Radu has it much easier, using his free time to set Tudor up, dangling a willing Hawaiian beauty in front of him.
Having been burned by long-distance relationships before, Tudor stubbornly resists Kahoni’s advances.
But can Tudor be worn down enough to enjoy a touch of paradise?

A TOUCH OF KINK
A moody and angry Tudor follows his friend, Radu, to the airport to pick up a client.
Despite Radu’s efforts, he’s still sulking over his boyfriend, Kahoni, not being able to fly over for his birthday.
But the airport only opens up the door to a stream of steamy surprises for Tudor. Will his mood improve?

A TOUCH OF GAY
Radu has always joked with Tudor about his friend’s gay rubbing off on him. Neither of them has taken that joke seriously until Radu’s meltdown and crazy confession: Radu thinks he might be gay.
Despite Radu’s insistence that Tudor’s gayness has helped him figure out his own, there’s more to that story of discovery. Charismatic, sexy, and all around amazing Marius, the man Radu has been crushing on for months, pushed the loud-mouth, offensive Radu into exploring who he truly is.
Figuring out he wasn’t all that straight is the easy part. Getting enough courage to talk to Marius, that’s a whole different challenge, as Radu seems to turn into a stuttering idiot around Marius. Will Radu learn to be confident enough to pursue Marius? Or will Marius act faster and challenge the confused Radu too soon?

Excerpt

With a noncommittal grunt, Tudor turned around and walked toward the door. Radu could follow or not, he didn’t much care. He went straight to the reception area and asked if there was a place to eat nearby. They were exactly five minutes from Times Square, so he expected fancy, expensive, and not necessarily the best food ever. The guy at reception was their first guardian angel in this city and told them about a nice little diner down the street from the hotel. Tudor moaned his approval and saw the teen swoon a little. He thanked him with an unnecessarily wide grin, just to make him feel good about himself and headed through the door.

“So we’re eating greasy diner food?”

“Radu, most of your lunches at work are either KFC or McDonalds. Don’t tell me you’re suddenly worried about your health and what goes into your mouth.”
“Well, no, but I’d expected you to be… you know?”

“Be what?” Tudor said, stopping in his tracks and shoving his hands into his jeans’ pockets.
“You know!” Radu insisted, a sleazy grin twisting his face. “All about health and your looks.”
Tudor chuckled and shrugged, then continued toward the diner he could now see. He licked his lips in anticipation—diner food was one of his many, many very guilty pleasures—feeling a tingle of delight in his gut. On his last trip to the US, he’d eaten every meal of every day in a diner, until he was so sick of the stuff that he needed a break. A short one, half a day, to be exact, and then he’d started it all over again until he went back home.

“No, seriously. I did not expect you to eat anything that was not healthy and tasteless,” Radu whined as they were shown to a booth in the rather large diner.

“That’s because you have misconceptions about a lot of things,” Tudor hissed through his teeth. “Healthy food does not mean tasteless. It just means healthy. And while I do work out a lot and generally take care of myself, I pretty much eat anything. I just don’t indulge often in all the crap you gulp down every day.”

“Is that because the boys wouldn’t want you anymore?” Radu asked, grinning wolfishly, as if he’d finally gotten an official come-out speech. For a second, Tudor worried if they had some sort of betting game at work, something like how many days it would take for him to either come out or kill Radu. Then he realized they surely did, most likely on both counts.

“Well, I do enjoy being attractive, it makes it easier to get whoever I want into my bed. That’s not the only reason why I prefer healthy food though. I’d been on the school’s volleyball team throughout high school and have been taking karate lessons since secondary school. I just got used to eating like that.”

“So you’re a black belt and can kill me with your fork or something?”

“I don’t need any weapon to kill you, Radu,” Tudor said, lowering his voice and smiling sweetly at him. He was delighted to see Radu’s eyes pop out and his breath hitching. Yeah, fucker, you should be afraid.

Do you believe in love at first sight? No? Thank fuck. Neither do I.
—Sullivan Archer, wide receiver for the LA Wild Cats

Van and Toby meet

Toby

I turn to leave the narrow hall and at the exact same time, the door marked “office” flies open and a handsome man steps out. He’s bigger than me, tall and burly, with auburn hair and a ginger beard. The black T-shirt pulling tight across his impressive chest displays the bar’s provocative logo.
“Excuse me.” I drop my gaze and try to make myself as small as possible as I move to duck around him.
“Wait.” The big man grabs my wrist, and my heart leaps into my throat.
Oh God. He sees my hard-on.
My adrenal gland kicks into high gear, flooding my veins with anxiety and embarrassment. Heart pounding, I spin around and yank out of the man’s hold as I attempt to control the tightness in my chest. The guy holds up his hands to show he isn’t trying to pull any shit with me. “Sorry, buddy. Didn’t mean to startle you. I was just wondering if I could talk to you for a second in the office.” He nods toward the door.
With a huff, I cross my arms over my chest, then uncross them and scratch my head, unsure what to do with my hands. “Why on earth would I go in there with you? I don’t know you.” Plus, I might be athletic and in good shape, but I’m the opposite of huge. This guy has a half a foot and at least forty pounds on me.
The man grins, his navy-blue eyes sparkling. He holds out a one of his giant mitts. “Griff Freeman. I own this club.”
I eye his hand warily, but end up shaking it despite the overwhelming urge to flee. “Toby Bennett.” We drop hands, and because I’m an idiot, I can’t help but explain myself. “I haven’t done anything wrong.” He’s not bringing me into the office to kick me out because I overheard sex in the bathroom, is he? They don’t do that, do they?
Griff laughs. “No. You haven’t. But what I want to discuss is a sensitive matter. You’d be doing me a huge favor if you’d just duck into my office for a quick second.”
Sensitive? Now I’m on high alert, my muscles drawing as tight as a bow. I take a step back.
“A favor? What kind of favor?”
“Trust me, kid. You’ll probably end up thanking me,” Griff says, grinning.
Griff holds open the office door and awaits my decision.
It feels like this is a crossroads of sorts in my life. I can continue hiding, letting my past run my life, or I can take a chance and throw caution to the wind. What the hell do I have to lose? For the first time in my life, I don’t overthink my decision. Instead, I walk through that damn door with my head held high….
And my jaw drops open when I look around inside.

Van
From my position across the room, I take in the lean, attractive man who walks through the door. Griff did well. Very, very well. He brought me the exact one I wanted. The one I pointed out near the bar. This guy is exactly my type.
If I had to guess, from the wary look in his eyes, I’d say the young man is about my age though he looks significantly younger due to his small frame and full lips. He’s several inches under six feet, but well toned without being overly huge. His dark, almost black hair flops down over his brows, and his skin is pale and smooth, without a single blemish or spot on it. But what really draws me in, what I couldn’t see in the camera feed in the dark club, are crystal blue eyes so light they remind me of the massive glaciers in Alaska. Only this man’s eyes aren’t icy and cold, they’re warm and inviting and… very frightened?
“I’ll leave you two to talk,” Griff says from behind the beautiful man.
“What?” The blue-eyed beauty spins around, gaping as Griff takes off. Once the door shuts, he slowly turns back to me, his face a mask of worry and suspicion. Damn, it wasn’t my intention to freak the guy out.
“Have a seat.” I point at the black leather and chrome chair next to mine, both placed opposite Griff’s incredibly tidy desk—the neat freak—and throw him a wink. The man doesn’t move. In fact, he looks as if he’s about to bolt. I can’t have that. I’m too intrigued to let this one go without at least getting him to talk to me.
I stand up and his eyes nearly bug out of his head. Okay, so I’m big. Really big. Six-foot-six, two hundred and ten pounds—I know I can be intimidating under certain circumstances, and it serves me well. Except right now I’m trying to be a regular guy. Unfortunately, the much smaller man Griff brought in isn’t exactly receptive to whatever vibes I’m putting out.
I don’t understand why this guy is so skittish. Most people are either shocked speechless when they meet me or gush a never-ending line of embarrassing praise.
Is it possible he doesn’t recognize me?
Nope. No way. Everyone in LA recognizes me. Hell, everyone everywhere recognizes me. Which is precisely my problem. More so since the team won the playoffs last week, giving the Wild Cats their first Super Bowl appearance in eighteen years.
“I-I should go,” my guest stammers. “I think there’s been a mistake.” His voice is as beautiful as the man himself, breathy and soft, but clearly masculine.
If he won’t come to me, I’ll go to him. I walk across the room and as I get nearer, he flattens his body against the door. His skin is so flawless and pale, I can see his pulse fluttering at his throat. From this close, it’s apparent the man is quite a bit shorter than I originally thought. Maybe almost a foot less than my own six-foot-six. Griff knows I like my men small and fit, but this one… there are no words. He’s positively breathtaking.
“What’s your name, gorgeous?” I should wait for permission, wait to see if he’s receptive to my advances, but I can’t help myself. I reach out and skim the back of my knuckles across the perfect skin of his throat, stopping to feel the beat of his heart beneath my fingertips before removing my hand.
“I-I’m Toby.”
“Toby. You’re….” I struggle to come up with the proper words to describe his beauty only to find I’m speechless. I move closer and hear Toby’s breath hitch. “Hey, I’m Van.”
Toby blinks those big blue eyes, showing off the thick black lashes that frame them. I rake my gaze down Toby’s perfect, lithe body and spot the substantial bulge in his so-tight-they-should-be-illegal jeans. It seems Toby isn’t exactly as averse to hooking up with me as he wants me to believe. Or maybe he’s turned on by the thrill of the unknown. Taking another chance, I close the distance and press my hips against his, letting Toby feel how turned on I am. Our erections grind together, and Toby groans. His eyelids grow heavy and flutter shut.
“Why me?” Toby asks, his voice raspy with lust. “You’re….” He opens his eyes and motions at my body as if that one gesture says it all. “Why not go out in the club and take your pick?”
I’m shocked. Toby really doesn’t recognize me. Doesn’t know why I can’t waltz out to the middle of the dance floor in a gay bar and pick up a man. My brows scrunch together, and I put my hands on either side of his perfect face, skimming my thumbs across the smooth skin. “I did take my pick, Toby. I chose you.”
Toby blushes and gasps, parting those perfect, red lips. Unable to wait a second longer, I lower my head and take my first taste of this gorgeous specimen. Sweet alcohol and something purely Toby bursts across my tongue. I sigh as he melts against me. Fucking perfect. Toby is definitely going to be one to remember.

What happens when a one night stand, shows up on your work wanting more than just that one night?

This book wasn’t what I was expecting at all. I loved the relationship between Van and Tobias, but there were moments where I wanted to smack both of them upside the head. But, I can see both of their point of views for being standoffish when committing to one another.

Tobias had it rough, really only having one relationship and look how that turned out. Van being a professional footballer, coming out as gay I can only assume is a player’s worse nightmare for fear of not knowing how people will react. I love the fact that Van persistence paid off in the end. Two people who have had it rough definitely deserve a happily ever after.

I will say that what kind of makes the book is Leo, who is Toby’s best friend. I love how supportive he is of Toby and trying to get Toby out of the house and to try and break him out of his shell. As well as when he tried to help out Van and Toby. For me the story wasn’t long enough and I would have loved to of been able to know more of what happened after the big reveal.
